 James A Haley Veterans Hospital

Located at Bruce B Downs Boulevard, the James A Haley Veterans Hospital was established in 1972. It is sponsored by the US Department of Veterans Affairs and provides healthcare and post-traumatic stress care to Tampa area veterans. A well-maintained hospital, run by highly efficient and qualified staff it has 415 beds in the main hospital. It is also a teaching hospital, affiliated to the University of South Florida.

This specialist institute has been treating patients for the last 10 years, since its inception in 2005. Starting off with a single operating room, the Laser Spine Institute at Tampa today has 70,000 square feet, eight operating rooms and fifteen exam rooms. Tampa Community Hospital

This hospital is over 30 years old and has over 200 beds. Tampa Community Hospital offers comprehensive medical, diagnostic and surgical services. There are 500 employees out of which 300 are physicians. Some of the advanced technology of this hospital is 64 slice Computed Tomography (CT) Imaging, Robotic Surgery and a state-of-the-art Endoscopic and Endobronchial Ultrasound System which helps in early cancer detection.

Tampa General Hospital

The Tampa General Hospital is a private, not-for-profit hospital. situated at Tampa General Circle, has been around since 1927. It is a teaching hospital with 1,018 beds and 6,700 employees. Apart from being a burn center, the hospital has specialists in all required fields such as trauma, head and neck surgery, cardiac surgery, transplantation, women’s health and others.
